Optician websites · from £179 · draft before payment

Optician websites
that keep the waiting room full.

An independent practice wins on service: the time taken, the frames nobody else stocks, the eye tests that are not rushed. A chain can outspend you on advertising, but it cannot out-local you online. We build practice websites from £179, and you see yours before paying.

Draft within 2 working days. Answers to messages inside 4 working hours. No payment until the draft is approved.

The problem

The chains own the first screen. You own the service.

When someone new to the area looks for an optician, the big names arrive first with booking systems and brand budgets. The independent's case is stronger and usually invisible.

The familiar story:

  • Your practice has decades of local trust and a website that looks older than the fitting room carpet.
  • Patients who moved away from your high street still travel back for you. New residents, ten minutes away, never find out you exist.
  • The booking journey matters. If it is easier to book with a chain app than to ring you, some people will not ring.
  • Your frame ranges and lenses are the difference between you and them, and there is nowhere online that says so.

A clear, quick practice site costs £179 once. Against one retained patient a year, it is paid for several times over.

What goes on it

What an optician's website needs to do

Built around how people choose a practice: near, trusted, easy to book.

  • Eye tests, made easy to arrange

Opening hours, how to book, what to bring. On Advanced, a booking system for appointment times rather than a phone queue.

  • Your frames, shown properly

The ranges you actually stock, from budget to designer, in photos that load fast. Patients choose an optician partly on whether they will like the frames.

  • Where you are and when

The address, parking, the bus that stops outside, late nights. Half of choosing a local practice is convenience, so it belongs on the first screen.

  • Regulated, stated plainly

Your registration details exactly as they stand, and no clinical claims of any kind. We keep the wording careful, because your registration deserves careful wording.

Asked by practice owners

Can the site take eye test bookings?

On Advanced, yes, with a proper appointment booking system so patients choose a time without ringing. On Basic the two pages carry your hours, your number and the enquiry form, which for many practices is enough to start. You can move up later, and many do once the site is earning its keep.

We're regulated by the GOC. Does that change anything?

It changes the wording, not the price. Registrations go on exactly as you hold them, we make no clinical claims and no promises about outcomes, and you approve every word before launch. Careful is simply how the page gets written for a healthcare business.

Do you know what dispensing opticians actually sell?

We know enough to know you will correct us, and the process expects it. The words come from your details and your answers, you get a revision round, and nothing publishes until you have read it. Practices usually find their draft reads like them because it came from them.

Will the site connect to our practice management software?

Honest answer: not in these packs. The booking system on Advanced manages appointment slots itself, and the form reaches you by email and WhatsApp. If you need clinical software integration, that is outside what we sell, and we would rather tell you now than discover it together later.

How does an independent compete with the big chains online?

Not on budget, on locality and clarity. The chains' sites are national and generic. Yours names the town, the parking, the frame ranges, the people. For the searches that start nearby, specific beats big more often than the chains would like.

What about contact lens and sunglasses pages?

They fit naturally in the £469 Advanced pack, which has room for up to 10 pages. Basic covers the essentials in two pages and can be upgraded when the practice is ready, with nothing rebuilt from scratch.
