Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you buy a website or an add-on from Oakmont Digital UK (“we”, “us”), Chelmsford, Essex. They apply to everyone, whether you are a business or a consumer. If you are a consumer, section 15A adds your 14-day right to cancel. They are written in plain English on purpose. Questions? Email [email protected].

Last updated: 20 October 2026.

1. Our Packs & Prices

• Basic: up to 2 pages. £21 a month for 12 months (£252 in total), or £179 if you pay once.
• Advanced: up to 10 pages, appointment booking, a business email and Google Business Profile setup assist. £52 a month for 12 months (£624 in total), or £469 if you pay once.
• Google Business Profile setup assist (Advanced): when your site goes live, we help you set up your business’s Google Business Profile: creating or claiming it, its categories, services, areas, hours, description and photos, and a link to your site. It is setup help only. Google’s verification (for example a postcard, phone or video check) can only be completed by you, and whether a profile is verified or stays live is Google’s decision, not ours. Ongoing work on your profile is part of Local SEO (section 11).
• Pay-in-full bonus: if you pay once, Basic and Advanced both come with a custom invoice generator for your business as a free bonus. You also get it if you split the one-time price into two parts (50% when you approve your draft, 50% when the work is done). It is not part of the monthly plan.
• What is included: what each pack includes is listed in the pricing section of our homepage. Anything not listed is not included, but we are happy to quote for it.
• The first year is included: the price covers building your site plus the first year of hosting, security and upkeep. Prices are in pounds sterling.
• Optional add-ons: Local SEO in three packages, Local SEO Essentials (£247 a month), Local SEO Boost (£397 a month) and Local SEO Boost Pro (£897 a month); and extra content updates (£20 a batch). See sections 5 and 11.

2. Your Draft, Payment & Instalments

• The draft comes first: once we have your details (section 7), we build a draft of your website and send you a link to it: Basic within 2 working days, Advanced (all of its pages) within 5 working days. You pay nothing for the draft, and you owe nothing if you decide not to go ahead.
• An unpaid draft is ours: the draft, its design and any text we wrote for it stay ours until the site is paid for under these terms. You may not copy it, publish it or have it built elsewhere. Your own logo, photos and text stay yours. If you do not go ahead, we keep the draft for 30 days and then delete it, with your content. We may reuse its layout for other clients, never your logo, photos, words or business details.
• Ordering: you order when you approve your draft and pay through the Stripe payment link we send you (the full price, the first 50%, or the first of 12 monthly payments). After you pay, we email you a confirmation with a copy of these terms and the cancellation form.
• Before you pay: our message gives you the price, how you pay, and a link to these terms. It asks you to reply “YES, START” to confirm three things: that you ask us to start work on your order now; that if you are a consumer and cancel within 14 days you will pay for the work done up to then; and that you understand you lose the right to cancel once the work is fully done (all three in section 15A).
• How payments are taken: by Stripe. Stripe processes your card payment, and we do not see or store your full card number. The website itself does not take payments.
• Paying once: the One-Time price (£179 for Basic, £469 for Advanced) can be paid in one of two ways. Either you pay in full when you approve your draft, or you pay 50% when you approve your draft and the other 50% when the work is done.
• The second 50%: if you choose to pay in two parts, the balance is due when the work is done, before the site goes live or is handed over. We do not publish or hand over the site until the balance is paid.
• Paying monthly: this is 12 monthly payments. The first is taken when you approve your draft. The other 11 follow monthly from the first.
• It is a 12-payment commitment: once you have approved your finished site (see Approval in section 15), all 12 payments are due. You can pay off what is left in one go at any time. If you stop after approving the site, the remaining payments are still due, and we keep hosting your site to the end of its first year; once it is fully paid you can take it and your domain elsewhere.
• Ownership: the website is yours once it is fully paid. If you pay once, that is as soon as we have your payment in full (if you pay in two parts, once the balance is paid). On monthly payments, it is when the last payment is made.
• Failed payments: if a payment fails, we message you first. If it is not sorted within 14 days, we pause your website until it is. The same applies to a renewal payment that fails (section 3). We do not charge a fee to switch it back on.
• Late payment (business customers): if you are a business customer, a payment more than 30 days late may carry interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
• Cancelling: see Changing Your Mind (section 15) for what happens if you cancel before or after you pay, and section 15A if you are a consumer.

3. Renewal From Year Two

• Price: from the second year, it is £50 a year on both packs. Your first year runs from the day your site goes live.
• What it covers: hosting, security and upkeep for your site, plus your yearly content updates (section 5).
• It renews automatically: the renewal is a yearly Stripe subscription, which we set up with you when your site goes live. Stripe takes £50 from your card when your first year ends, and again each year after that, until you cancel.
• A reminder first: about 30 days before each renewal, Stripe emails you a reminder with the date and the amount.
• Cancelling the renewal: you can cancel at any time before the renewal is taken, by emailing [email protected]. Nothing more is taken, and we keep hosting your site to the end of the year you have paid for.
• Moving elsewhere: if you cancel the renewal, we transfer your domain to you for free and hand over the website. If you are still paying monthly, this happens once the site is fully paid. Once handed over, we no longer host or look after it. If you have not asked for the handover by the end of your paid year, we keep your site and your domain for 60 days after it, so you can ask for them; after that we may delete the site files.
• If a renewal payment fails: we message you first, and if it is not sorted within 14 days we pause your site (section 2). We keep it, and your domain, for 60 days so you can pay or ask us to hand them over. We never let a domain we manage for you lapse without emailing you first.

4. Your Domain

• In our account: a domain we register and manage for you in our account is included in the price and the renewal.
• In your account: if you keep your domain in your own account, you renew it yourself and pay your registrar directly. We cannot be responsible for a domain you let expire.
• Transfer out: we transfer a domain from our account to you for free when you ask, once the website is fully paid.
• If we stop trading: we will transfer your domain to you and send you your site’s files first.

5. Small Content Updates & Extras

• What is included: Basic includes 1 small content update a year. Advanced includes 3 a year.
• What counts as a small update: a text or image change to a page you already have, such as new prices, a fresh photo or an updated offer, taking up to 30 minutes of work.
• Extra content updates: £20 a batch. A batch is a set of small text or image changes sent to us together, up to 30 minutes of work.
• Bigger jobs: new pages, new features and anything larger than a batch are quoted first. We do nothing chargeable without your yes.

6. The Delivery Promise

• Delivery time: 3 working days for Basic and 7 working days for Advanced, for your site to go live. These are days we spend working on your site: the time we take to build your draft (section 2) is part of them, and the time you spend reviewing is not.
• Clock Start: the countdown begins on the day we have all the “required content” (see section 7) and only runs while we are working on your site. It pauses while we wait for you: for your feedback, your approval of the draft, a payment (when you approve your draft, or the balance) or your revision notes, and starts again when we have it. Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting UK bank holidays.
• Remedy: if we miss the delivery time, your year-two renewal (£50) is free. That is our remedy for missing this promise. It does not take away any other legal right you have if we take longer than is reasonable. If you are a business customer, we are not liable for loss of business caused by the delivery time.

7. Required Content & Content You Supply

• Required content: to build your draft and your site we need your logo (if you have one), business contact details, a list of your services, any photos you want used, and a short description of your business. If you do not have these ready, we can guide you or prepare the text for you.
• Your rights: you confirm you own, or have permission to use, everything you give us. We are not liable for copyright claims about material you supplied.
• Checking the words: before your site goes live, check everything it says about your business, especially qualifications, memberships, insurance, prices and guarantees. You are responsible for those claims being true, including any text we wrote for you from your details. If you are a business customer, you cover our reasonable costs of any claim caused by content you supplied or approved.
• Delays on your side: if we are waiting for your content, your feedback, your approval of the draft, a payment (when you approve your draft, or the balance) or your revision notes, the delivery time pauses until we have it.

8. Scope & Revisions

• Defined rounds: before your site goes live, Basic includes 1 revision round and Advanced includes 3. A round is one set of changes you send us together.
• After it goes live: small changes use your yearly content updates (section 5).
• Out of Scope: features that are not in your pack (for example an online shop on a Basic site) are quoted separately.

9. Business Email (Advanced)

• Receive only: Advanced includes a business email address on your own domain for receiving email. Every message is forwarded to your personal inbox.
• Sending: to send from the address too, you set up Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho Mail yourself, at your own cost. We add the DNS records for you.
• Delivery of messages: forwarding depends on the email providers involved. We cannot guarantee that every message arrives, for example if a provider treats one as spam.

10. Intellectual Property & Licences

• Your website: once your site is fully paid, we transfer to you the copyright in its design and the words and images we created for it. Our reusable code, page components and tools stay ours, and we give you a permanent, free licence to use, change and move them as part of your site. On request we send you a full copy of the site’s files.
• Unpaid drafts: a draft you have not paid for stays ours (section 2).
• Portfolio Rights: unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we may show the completed website in our “Recent Works” portfolio and marketing.
• Third-party material: fonts, tools and images made by others stay under their own licences. If something would need a licence of your own to keep running after you move, we will tell you before we use it.

11. Local SEO (Optional, Three Packages)

• The packages and prices: Local SEO Essentials (£247 a month), Local SEO Boost (£397 a month) and Local SEO Boost Pro (£897 a month). No setup fee. Paid monthly in advance by Stripe: your first payment starts month one. Prices are in pounds sterling.
• Who can buy: businesses and consumers. If you are a consumer (buying for yourself, not for a business), section 15A gives you 14 days to cancel.
• Starting: you start when you pay your first month through the Stripe link we send you. Our message gives you the package, the price and a link to these terms, and asks you to reply “YES, START” to confirm that you ask us to start the monthly work now and that, if you are a consumer and cancel within 14 days, you will pay for the work done up to then (section 15A).
• A website is needed: every package works on your website, one we built or one we did not (see “Websites we did not build” below). If you do not have a website, Local SEO is not the right start: a website pack (section 1) comes first.
• Local SEO Essentials, each month: on-page SEO on your website: page titles, headings, descriptions and internal links, set for the searches you want to be found for; a monthly check of your website, and fixes for what we find: broken links, missing titles, pages Google can’t read properly; your core UK directory listings matched to your website: the same name, address and phone number everywhere; your Google Business Profile kept accurate: hours, services and a link to your site; a monthly report of every task done, with your rankings.
• Local SEO Boost, each month: everything in Local SEO Essentials, plus: one new service or area page a month, agreed with you, written and put live on your website; structured data that tells Google what each page is about and where you work; your Google Business Profile managed: categories, services, areas, photos and two posts a month; a simple routine for asking your customers for reviews, set up and ready to send; industry and trade directory listings on top of the core ones.
• Local SEO Boost Pro, each month: everything in Local SEO Boost, plus: three new service or area pages a month instead of one; a monthly scorecard of your top three local competitors: their profile, reviews, pages and rankings against yours; a monthly AI-answer check: whether ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers and Bing mention your business for your services, and what we’re doing about it.
• Your rankings: we check and report your rankings for the searches we agree with you. The report lists every task done that month.
• First-month bonus, every package: the Listings Clean-Up Audit. In your first month we find your business listings across UK directories, record what each one says, and correct what we can access or ask you to correct what we cannot. You receive the audit as a written sheet. It is not sold separately and has no cash value.
• Minimum term: three months, starting on the date of your first payment. After that, the service continues month to month. If you are a consumer, the minimum term and the guarantee below apply once your 14-day cancellation period (section 15A) has ended; inside it, section 15A applies.
• Notice after the minimum term: you can end the service at any time after your first three months, by email. It ends at the end of the calendar month after the month we receive your email: if you tell us on any day in March, it ends on 30 April. Your last payment covers the service to that date: if it falls part-way through a billing month, we charge only for the days up to the end date.
• Our walk-away guarantee (“More leads, or walk away”): not happy at any time in your first three months? Email us and we end the service straight away. You owe nothing after the day we receive your email; payments already made, including for that month, are not refunded. This is the only exception to the minimum term, and it is not a promise of any number of leads, enquiries, calls or rankings (see “No Guarantee of Rankings”).
• Changing package: you can move up or down to another package from your next payment date, by email. The minimum term still runs from your first payment, not from the change.
• Websites we did not build (every package): we can work on a website we did not build if you give us editing access (an account on your website platform or hosting, created by you, which you can remove at any time). We will change page titles, headings, descriptions and internal links and, on Local SEO Boost and Local SEO Boost Pro, add pages and structured-data snippets, and we record every change in your report. We will not change your design, your prices or your existing wording without your approval, move your hosting or domain, or make changes outside the agreed SEO work. You remain responsible for your website, its hosting and its backups. If your platform does not allow the changes a package needs, we will tell you before you pay. Where you have a Google Business Profile, we also need manager access to it.
• No Guarantee of Rankings: we use honest, long-standing methods, but we do not and cannot promise any ranking, position, number of visitors, enquiries or leads on Google, Bing, any AI search tool, in the local results or anywhere else. Search engines decide that, and they change their rules often.
• Timescales: SEO results usually take 3–6 months to show. Rankings can go up and down along the way, and we are not liable for temporary drops in traffic.
• Third-Party Platforms: we are not responsible if Google, Bing or any directory suspends, removes or refuses a listing or profile because of its past history, their automated rules, or a verification request (for example a postcard, phone or video check) that was not completed.
• Content Approval: you are responsible for checking the business descriptions, posts and pages we write before they go live.
• When it ends: we stop the monthly work and the reports. Anything already improved on your website or profile stays yours. We stop using our access to your accounts, and you can remove it at any time.

12. Website Content & Legality

• Prohibited Content: we do not build websites for businesses involved in illegal activities, hate speech, or adult industries.
• Legal Compliance: you are responsible for making sure your business, and what your website says about it, meets the law. This includes your own privacy notice if you collect data beyond the contact form we set up.

12A. Your Customers’ Data

• Who is responsible: the contact form, booking system and email forwarding on your website, and the review-request routine in Local SEO, handle your customers’ personal data. For that data you are the controller and we are your processor.
• What we do with it: we use it only to run your website and the services you have bought, on your instructions. We keep it confidential and secure, and make sure anyone who handles it is bound to confidentiality.
• Our providers: we use only service providers bound by the same duties, such as Cloudflare, which hosts the sites we build, their forms and their email forwarding. We give you the full list on request, and we tell you before we add or change one. If you object to a new provider, tell us within 14 days: we will try to find another way, and if we cannot, you can end the affected service at no cost.
• If something goes wrong: we tell you without undue delay about any breach affecting it.
• Helping you: we help you answer requests from your customers about their data and meet your own legal duties, and we give you the information you need to check that we meet these terms.
• When the service ends: we delete it, or return it to you, unless the law requires us to keep it.
• Your part: you are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect it and for your own privacy notice.

13. Ending the Service

• You: before you pay for a website, you can walk away from the draft and owe nothing. After you pay, see section 15 (and section 15A if you are a consumer). You can cancel the yearly renewal at any time before it renews, by email, and move your site as described in section 3. End Local SEO as described in section 11.
• Us, if you break these terms: we can end the service, by email, if you are abusive to our team, if you use the site for something illegal (section 12), or if you seriously break these terms and do not put it right within 14 days of us asking.
• Us, if we stop hearing from you: if we have not heard from you for 30 days while we wait for your content or approval, we will email you; if we still hear nothing after a further 14 days, we may close the order.
• Money when we end it: if we end the service for any reason other than your serious breach, we refund anything you paid for work or hosting we have not yet provided. Before payment there is nothing to refund.

14. Limitation of Liability

• No Guarantees: we build to help you get enquiries, but we do not promise any particular sales, enquiries or website visitors. This includes Local SEO: no particular ranking, visibility, enquiries or leads are promised (section 11).
• Our limit: our total liability to you for any order is limited to the greater of (a) the full price of that order (for the monthly plan, all 12 payments; for Local SEO, three months’ fees) and (b) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to anything in “The law” below.
• Indirect loss: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost business.
• Events outside our control: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at Cloudflare, Stripe, Google, Meta, your registrar or your email provider. We tell you and work around it as soon as we can.
• The law: nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. This does not affect your statutory rights.

15. Changing Your Mind

These rules apply to everyone, business or consumer. If you are a consumer, section 15A adds to them and never gives you less.

• Before you pay: you have seen your draft and nothing has been paid, so nothing is owed and there is nothing to refund. Tell us and we stop.
• When you order: you order when you approve your draft and pay (section 2). Before you pay, you reply “YES, START” to ask us to start work now and to confirm that you understand the rules below. We carry on once you have confirmed and paid.
• One-Time, after you pay and before the site goes live (work not finished): if you paid in full, we refund 50% of what you paid. If you chose to pay 50% and 50%, the 50% you paid is not refunded, and nothing more is owed.
• One-Time, work finished: no refund. If you chose to pay 50% and 50%, the second 50% is due.
• Monthly plan: monthly payments you have already made are never refunded. If you cancel before you approve your finished site, nothing more is owed, and the site is not published or handed over. Once you have approved it, all 12 payments are due, and you can pay off what is left early at any time.
• Consumers: your 14-day right to cancel, for websites and for Local SEO, is in section 15A. Inside those 14 days you get whichever is better for you: the rules above, or section 15A.
• Local SEO: how to end it, and our guarantee, are in section 11.

Approval after 7 days

• Deemed approval: when we send you the finished site, we ask you to approve it or send your changes. If we have had no reply after 5 days, we send you a reminder. If we have still had no reply 7 days after we sent the finished site, it counts as approved and the work counts as finished, so the balance (50/50) or the monthly payments (section 2) are due.
• What it settles: deemed approval only settles payment and go-live. It does not stop you telling us later about something we did not do with reasonable care and skill, and we will put that right (section 14).
• Monthly plan: all 12 payments are then due (section 2).
• Two-part payment: the balance (the second 50%) is then due.
• Changes: if you ask for changes within your revision rounds (section 8), we send you the updated site and the 7 days, and the reminder, start again.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

15A. If You Are a Consumer: Your 14-Day Right to Cancel

This section applies only if you are buying as a consumer (for yourself, not for a business). It adds to section 15; it does not take anything away.

• Your right: you can cancel your order within 14 days, starting the day after you order (for a website, the day you approve your draft and pay; for Local SEO, the day of your first payment). To cancel, tell us clearly: email [email protected], or use the form below. You do not have to give a reason.
• Work started at your request: when you ordered, you asked us to start straight away. If you cancel inside the 14 days, you pay for the work we did between your order and the day you told us you were cancelling, in proportion to the whole order. Your free draft is not charged for.
• Whichever is better for you: we refund you the larger of (a) the refund under section 15 and (b) what you paid minus the value of the work in the point above. If what you paid is less than that value, you owe nothing more. Once your finished site has been approved, the value of the work is the full price less a share of £50 for the hosting days left in your first year.
• After approval: your order includes a year of hosting, so inside the 14 days you can still cancel after approval; you then pay the build in full and we refund only the hosting share (point above).
• Local SEO: the same 14-day right applies. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund what you paid minus the value of the work done up to the day you told us, in proportion to that month’s work (section 11 lists it). After the 14 days, the three-month minimum, the notice and the walk-away guarantee in section 11 apply to you as they do to everyone.
• Yearly renewals: you can cancel a renewal at any time before it is taken (section 3).
• Refunds go back to your card within 14 days of you telling us.
• Your other rights: we must do the work with reasonable care and skill, as we describe it, and in a reasonable time. If we don’t, you can ask us to put it right free of charge, or in some cases get money back. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Cancellation form

If you want to cancel, you can copy this form into an email to [email protected], or send it to us any other clear way. You do not have to use it.

16. Governing Law & Complaints

These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.

Complaints: email us with “Complaint” in the subject. We reply within 5 working days and aim to sort it within 14.

17. Changes to These Terms

• New versions: if we change these terms, the new version goes on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
• One-off orders stay on the terms you ordered under.
• Ongoing services (the yearly renewal, Local SEO): we may change our prices or these terms for a valid reason (higher costs, a change in law, a change to the service). We give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can end the service before the change applies at no cost.

18. General

• If part is invalid: if a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
• Transfer: we may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over our business, without reducing your rights.
• Notices go by email.
• Third parties: nobody else has rights under these terms.
• Business customers only: these terms, our order message and the pack description on our site are the whole agreement.
